We would like to invite you to the symposium ‘Maternal mortality and morbidity: local and global perspectives’, organised to celebrate the two PhD defences of Steffie Heemelaar (Leiden University) and Anke Heitkamp (Amsterdam UMC, VU university and Stellenbosch University). We invited passionate experts from various institutes, sharing the most recent insights regarding maternal health

surveillance and response. During panel discussions several approaches to improve maternal outcome will be discussed. There will also be a livestream to aftend the symposium online. Online participants will be able to join the discussion through the chat. The symposium is free, but we kindly request you to subscribe.
